Richard Smith & Michael Chapdelaine

Michael Chapdelaine just happened to be in Columbus this weekend - and, gladly offered up his services to come open for Richard.
Richard and Michael exchanging pleasantries before the concert.
Ted Kerr is owner of Uptown Strings in Westerville, Ohio (outskirts of Columbus) and he set up a few of his Stonebridge guitars he handles - and, Richard Smith endorses.

I'd heard that JD Norman was back in town.  Here he is chattin' with Richard in the lobby.

Here's JD again with Carlos Graham and his son, Neal, and our most avid member, Bob Henthorne - all getting ready to hear some world class guitar music..
Michael usually performs standing up - moving around and "actin' up."  But, he forgot his "pickup equipment" so we had to "mic" him.. (So to speak.. (lol)
Michael is classically (which explains the "proper position") - but, crossed over to modern acoustic finger style to broaden his musical performances.  Boy - are we glad he did.  The guy was amazingly entertaining - and, a super player.
Club organizer, Palmer Moore, introducing Richard Smith - who needs no introductions.
After an hour and a half of brilliant solo performance Richard opened the stage up to "anyone stupid enough to flog one with him."  Well, Palmer wasn't going to let this opportunity to embarrass himself go by.
Neither did JD Norman.
