We've said this many times
before: Richard Smith is one of the best finger style guitarists on
the planet - bar none! He was born to play
guitar.... And, somehow, he seems to get better every year.
What ever guitar he picks up he seems to be able to play like he's had it
in his hands for decades - and, the genre of music that instrument
inspires: country, jazz, Chet, Reed, Travis, standards and
classical. All genres with equal talent and enthusiasm. His
lovely wife, Julie Adams, has no less enthusiasm in her own right and
brings a "touch of class" to their duo performance on her
cello.
Pete Cavano will be opening
for Richard and Julie. Pete is about as smooth as any guitarist with
his impeccable and intricate playing. Pete has been playing and
teaching guitar in the Cleveland, Ohio area for several decades - and, is
a real treat to listen to. He will also be setting in with Richard
to close out the afternoon with an up tempo set of gypsy jazz in the style
of the late Django Reinhardt.
