Richard Smith
is by even the most conservative estimations, one of the top three finger
style guitarists in the world - many claiming he is actually the most
talented. He doesn't just play country, or standards, or blues, or Chet,
or Merle, or Jerry Reed, or jazz, or classical.... He plays them ALL equally
brilliant! And, he could - if need be - hold audiences spellbound for
hours on end - playing solo.
However, he
travels and shares the stage with his lovely wife and accomplished cellist, Julie
Adams, who adds a "touch of class" to his performances
that their audiences simply adore. Whether they are playing Bach, Basie
or backwoods bluegrass - they will keep you tapping your feet and amazed with
their world class performance.
Richard &
Julie have been coming to play for ever larger audiences in the Columbus, Ohio
area for over 10 years. As unbelievable as it may seem they have become
even more polished and entertaining. However, the one thing they can't
do alone - that Richard is simply amazing at - is play play "single
line/(note)" Django Reinhardt style gypsy jazz. Which is why
we also attempt to put a little "Hot Club" style group together to
allow Richard to RIP into that style of music.
Joining Richard in
a little "Hot Club of Columbus" jam set will be the highly
talented Andy Woodson - on bass, Arkadiy Gips - on fiddle.
You won't want
to miss this concert!!!
