Every year a few of us OFGC members go to
Nashville for FOUR DAYS of great guitar music at the Chet Atkins
Appreciation Society Annual Convention (CAAS.) There are
approximately 20 incredible guitarists from around the world that are
invited to come entertain the more than 1,200 attendees (who are most
guitarists, themselves.) Every year we are asked by several of
those visiting "stars" if they could come play for us at a
Pickin' Party to help defer some of their expenses in getting to
Nashville. Unfortunately for us summer is a lousy time to draw a
crowd. However, this year we are
"throwing caution to the wind" and bringing two of those
"stars" back to Columbus with us to be our Guest Pickers at
this Pickin' Party. LET'S SUPPORT THEM BY HAVING A GREAT
TURNOUT!!! They both will also be
at Scotties Coffeehouse, 660 High St, Worthington on Tuesday and Friday
evenings... One way or another you folks are going to be able to
find time to listen to them.
